The Grounds Care Group Acquires Japanese Knotweed Management
The parent company of Japanese Knotweed Specialists, The Grounds Care Group (TGCG), has announced the acquisition of invasive weed specialists, Japanese Knotweed Management (JKM). The Weybridge based company was targeted as part TGCG’s continued expansion plans, and adds the benefits of its skilled employees, respected brand and strong geographical presence in Surrey and London regions.
The Grounds Care Group identified the business opportunity during its examination of business acquisition targets within the Knotweed, Grounds Maintenance and Gritting sectors. Japanese Knotweed Management’s Managing Director, James Spice, joins the team as Head of Business Development to oversee the firm’s Knotweed and Residential Services departments, including its fast-growing waste collection division, Click and Clear.
“I am delighted to be joining The Grounds Care Group at such an exciting time, there is already a fantastic team in place and the business has so much scope for further growth. When I met with Adam it was his drive and enthusiasm to grow, improve and add new strands to the business that proved the deciding factor,” said James Spice.
“As the Japanese knotweed industry consolidates, JKM is the perfect addition to our growing portfolio of services, that already includes our hugely successful Japanese Knotweed Specialists brand,” stated Adam Brindle, Managing Director of The Grounds Care Group.
“I’m very pleased to welcome James to the team, it’s exciting for both our companies as we are able to take the best of what we share forward to help achieve further growth. The JKM customer base can now look forward to a broader offering, that includes a full range of grounds maintenance, tree works, invasive weed removal and gritting services,”added Brindle.
